Team Sisters wins the 2005 Sandridge Team
Challenge!
The
winning team by a nose!
After what will probably turn out to be the closest
team race throughout the competitive season, Team Sisters finally edged ahead of
Manhattan 2 by gaining 1 elusive point at Bromont’s October event.
Right up until then, it was impossible to predict who
would be rewarded with the great prizes offered by Sandridge Saddlery.
Many thanks to Tracy Dickson from Sandridge for
sponsoring the team challenge again this year; Anne McMahon for keeping track of
the points as well as all those who participated – coaches, riders and not to
be forgotten, all the great volunteers who came out to help at our events!
Don’t forget to get your team organized ahead of July 1st, 2007. In planning
your team this year, we suggest that you verify the levels that are present at
the various events – for example, there is no starter level at the Jeux Équestres
– there is no preliminary level at other locations – try to have an array of
levels in order to accumulate your points. If you aren’t riding at a
particular event, be sure to volunteer. After all, that is the main purpose of
the Sandridge Team Challenge. See you again in a few months!
13 teams participated in the team challenge. Each team consisted of a maximum of 6 horse/rider combinations. Points were awarded to the team for competing or volunteering at Quebec events. The prizes for the 2005 Sandridge Team Challenge were generously provided by: Sandridge Saddlery.
